Today’s hop is all about 3-D Christmas gift ideas. The idea I came up with is from a long time ago. When we were kids we made paper ornaments from paper sacks that we stuffed with paper. You can create a lot of inexpensive ornaments this way. Plus a handmade ornament is always special to a loved one, I love it when my nephew would make me an ornament, it is that loving touch a person needs:)
I decided that is what my 3D Christmas gift will be for this hop. I know you will enjoy this tutorial and I would love for you to comment on what you create or receive for Christmas that is handmade with love.
Supplies:
Gingerbread and Peppermint Memories and More Card Pack are what I used, but you use whatever you have or if you would like to order this set, see images at the end of this blog post.
Cookin’ Dies #154333
Paper Sacks (dollar tree)
Die of choice to cut the ornament base (mine is retired, do not remember the name)
Multipurpose liquid glue #110755
rhinestones of choice (optional)
wire for the ornament hanger
Steps:
- Die cut the shape from a paper sack (the die I used is retired but any die shape will work.)
- Glue all edges but leave one end open.
- Stamp or adhere items to front of shape and let them dry.
- Stuff with some of the paper sack and seal shut.
- Pierce holes for the hanger and add it.
- Finish decorating as desired.
I know you will have fun creating these ornaments with your kids for your family and friends. Now on to the next hop over on Kelly’s blog.

Love this idea, Donna! So cute. Too bad they don’t use the brown paper to package our orders with anymore. Will have to give it a try.
