Flowers for Mom

Welcome to my blog and today’s post I am hopping along with the Stamping with Friends blog hop. This hop is all about flowers and since Mother’s day is almost upon us, I felt it was only fitting to create something for a mother.

Today’s card is a special request from a client. She wanted a mother’s day card in black, white, and gold. I cased this card from the 2021-2022 annual catalog that just recently retired.

The stamp set I used for the sentiment is from a retired set, but she loved the verse and felt it was very fitting for her mother.

I used basic black cardstock as the base. I stamped several flourish images in versamark and then applied clear embossing powder and heat set it. Then I took a piece of DSP from the pattern party pack. Adhered it and then added a strip of hold foil dsp. To make the sentiment pop, I placed some ribbon behind it. The sentiment I cut out using a stitched rectangle die. Popped it up and added champagne gems under the sentiment and some on the flowers.

This card turned out beautiful and the client is also very pleased with it. I hope I have inspired you to create your next card for your mother. A handmade card is a card with a hug in the middle.

Now let’s hop on over to Kelly Taranto.
